Machining Centres 5-axis and 3-axis
We have a HAAS UMC 500 5-axis machining centre with a working range of X-610mm Y-406mm Z-406mm. This machine is used primarily for machining components with detail on all 6 faces (of a cube) to decrease set-ups from 5 (required a 3-axis machine) to 2 thus increasing productivity by around 30%.
We have three HAAS VF-2SSY 3-axis CNC Vertical Machining Centres with a working range of X-914mm Y-457mm Z-610mm incorporating 30 station side mounted tool changers.
These are high speed general purpose machines for machining parts from the solid or castingsĀ in steel, aluminium, copper and plastic. One machine has a 4th axis for part rotation.
A Datron M8 Cube with a vacuum bed and a working range of X-1000mm Y-700mm Z-200mm is used for machining primarily ‘flat’ parts such as aluminium face plates and bezels.
We use a Keyence IM-Series co-ordinate measuring machine for checking of hole sizes and positions and Mitutoyo S5-410 for measure surface roughness.
We have 2 HAAS VF-2SSYT Vertical Machining Centre with a working range of X-axis 914mm Y-axis 457mm x Z-axis 610mm incorporating a 30 station side mounted tool changer.
The machine increases the scope of company into high speed, high volume general purpose machining and is excellent for machining large parts from the solid or castings in a wide range of materials including steel, aluminium, copper and plastic.
It features air blast chip removal, programmable coolant control and in-process gauging to ensure all parts are highly accurate and free from blemishes.
